Four point bearings are radial, single row angular contact ball bearings that save space and costs and offer more flexibility in product design.

With the standard four-point bearing (QJ), the inner ring is split, so a higher number of balls can be accommodated and the bearing separated. The bearing is designed to make contact at four points, two in the outer ring and two in the inner ring, and can therefore accommodate axial loads in both directions as well as a limited radial load.

When subjected to loads in the axial direction, a four-point bearing requires significantly less installation space than double-row bearings, which simplifies the product design. The bearings are suitable for applications that require good high speed performance, high accuracy, and where a combined load must be supported. They are particularly effective in applications with a high diameter to axial length ratio.
